Why Photo cropping?

Photo cropping is about cutting the size and changing shape of the original photos. One reason is to eliminate unwanted background and zoom in on the subject. Please see the following example:

Another reason is to acquire the desired shape. An important use of photo cropping is to change the shape of a photo to fit the TV screen as best as possible. Since most TV today are of 4:3 screen size (the horizontal shape is often called LANDSCAPE), a vertical or PORTRAIT photo would look better if its shape changes to 4:3 LANDSCAPE shape. Otherwise, there will be black or white area on the left and right sides of the pictures.
