Why I Joined EverTrue

When researching summer internships in Boston, what stood out to me about EverTrue is its mission statement: “To build relationships in pursuit of a better world.” This commitment to philanthropy resonates with my personal morals and is something I plan on always looking for in my future career endeavors.

At EverTrue, my specific role is the Event Marketing Intern. This role is another major reason why I wanted to join the EverCrew. As a Communication Management and Design major (and a person who lives and breathes by my calendar), events have always been of interest to me.

Not only is our event, RAISE, an innovative and purposeful conference, but it is also an event that takes a non-traditional approach on the average conference — and I love that!

RAISE enables our constituents to have more face-to-face time with various members of our team, from sales to customer success, engineering to product, allowing these meaningful relationships to further develop.

At Ithaca College, I dedicate a lot of my time to various student organizations, including Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT). Being involved with this organization opened my eyes to the world of development and advancement, from speaking with alumni relations officers to planning major philanthropic events, and facilitating alumni networking nights.

Although I have only been here for a short while, I can already see how insightful and educational interning at EverTrue will be, both personally and professionally, and am eager to apply the skills I learn here in both STAT and in my future career endeavors!

And by the way, if you’re reading this, I better see you at RAISE 2018 🙂

Hannah Byron is an event marketing intern at EverTrue. She is a senior communication management and design major at Ithaca College.
