We love to hear about the incredible initiatives of organizations near and far from our home base in Boston—including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix (BGCMP)—and have learned so much about how we can best serve the needs of fundraisers through these conversations.
We recently partnered with BGCMP and couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with such a great team. Through offering after-school and summer programs for youth in need, BGCMP has kept over 23,000 kids off the streets this year. We’re excited to help them achieve even more as they work to provide kids with safe spaces in the community.
We caught up with Tim Emory, Director of Donor & Governmental Relations at BGCMP, to learn what they’re looking forward to as they get started on GivingTree.
Their Challenge: Bad Data
So, why EverTrue? As Tim explained, their central database just wasn’t enough. While they use it for accounting purposes—such as notating donations and sending donor receipts—the information in the system hasn’t adequately enabled them to build constituent profiles and identify prospective donors.
GivingTree, by bringing in dynamic, real-time data on constituents from LinkedIn, Zillow, Facebook, and more, offered the data uplift they were looking for in an intuitive, user-friendly interface.

Tim and his team are excited to use GivingTree’s search, segmentation, and collaboration features as they ramp up their efforts to find and connect with new donors. We’ll be supporting them every step of the way!
Since signing on with us, BGCMP has been working closely with members of EverTrue’s Customer Success and Onboarding teams to get up-and-running on GivingTree.
“Caroline [CSM] and Chelsea [Onboarding] have been great. It’s been very seamless since we signed the contract and started the onboarding process.”
Because we want our customers to start reaping the benefits of clean and accessible data from the get-go, we work hard to keep our onboarding time to an average of 30 days. With BGCMP, it’s been no different. According to Tim, “onboarding has been happening faster than we thought it would.”

Their Single Biggest Goal with GivingTree
We always encourage our customers to set objectives—whether short term or long term—as they begin incorporating GivingTree into their day-to-day work.
When we spoke to Tim, he had an excellent goal in mind: finding at least 200 new prospects.
Based on the continued success of our customers, we’re confident that BGCMP will be able to hit their target. We can’t wait to see all that they accomplish in the coming months.
