This October, the EverTrue team is heading to bbcon 2015, the largest annual gathering of Blackbaud users. This is quickly becoming one of our favorite conferences of the year, and we’re especially looking forward to being in Austin, TX for this year’s event. Here’s why.
1. We love seeing our customers.
With more than 350 customers, and with over 70% of those using a Blackbaud product, we know that we’ll have lots of old friends in Austin. We love catching up with our customers and, if you’re one of them, we hope you’ll stop by Booth #928 to say hello, update us on your successes, and see what’s new at EverTrue.
2. While we love our .edu customers, we also get excited talking to other nonprofits about their work.
While our focus at EverTrue has historically been on the higher-ed and independent school side of philanthropy, we’ve come to realize that other nonprofits share many of the same challenges with accessing data, knowing who and where their constituents are, and understanding those constituents’ current interests in the organization. We’ve begun partnering with zoos, health care and human services organizations, public broadcasting stations, and museums, and we love that they are seeing similar successes with our GivingTree platform.
3. We love frontline fundraisers, but we get just as jazzed up talking to people who understand the data behind the fundraising.
We spend a lot of our time speaking with gift officers and advancement leaders because they go to the most conferences and are often the most active users of GivingTree. But we know that the folks who attend bbcon are more on the advancement services and database management side of the house—and advancement services knows better than anyone that bad data, and difficulty accessing data, can hinder the fundraising process.
4. We love understanding how nonprofit teams are using their CRMs.
As a Blackbaud Technology Partner, we are committed to helping our customers make the most out of the critical institutional data that lets them connect with and solicit constituents. We grow as a company when we understand how fundraising teams use their existing data and how, in an ideal world, they would maximize their fundraising opportunities. Nearly all of the advances we have made have been achieved by working with our customers to understand what would make them better.
5. I mean, seriously, have you tried to get really good barbeque in Boston?
We can’t wait to see you in Austin! But if you stop by our booth and we’re not there, there’s a very good chance you can find us at la Barbecue. The brisket’s on us.
