EverTrue’s Product Game Plan and What It Means for GivingTree

Ever since I founded EverTrue in 2010, our goal has been to bring modern technology to the advancement sector in support of your amazing missions. Many of you may remember that we began our journey with the Alumni Community app, then we launched GivingTree in 2014 as a response to customers using Community on the road.

Fast forward to today, we are proud to be collaborating with over 300 institutions on building the future of advancement. At our first industry conference Raise 2016, I discussed our vision for EverTrue with two important highlights that I wanted to share today. First, we have built out the infrastructure for our Alumni Community product to be available to customers as a premium branded app, and the web version is on its way soon!

Second, in thinking about how we can best serve your institution in 2016 and beyond, we have decided to transition away from the name “GivingTree.” The core functions of the product will remain the same—we are still combining your data with third-party insights in an easy-to-use, searchable interface—but from now on you will hear us referring to GivingTree as the EverTrue Advancement Platform. In the coming weeks, you will see this change reflected in the product and in other EverTrue communications.

The reason for this transition is simple: We understand that each department in your office has its own challenges and goals. As EverTrue continues to expand, we will be building department-specific solutions on top of our core platform, each tied to those unique goals. You’ll now see the EverTrue Platform packaged into four offerings by department:

  • EverTrue for Alumni RelationsTrack engagement and segment constituents to help you find more volunteers, plan better events, and grow and engage your alumni community.
  • EverTrue for Annual GivingTarget the right constituents and achieve your participation goals through robust segmentation, a donor-first giving experience, and powerful conversion analytics.
  • EverTrue for Prospect ResearchIdentify more prospects and funnel powerful insights across your organization to grow the donor pipeline.
  • EverTrue for Gift OfficersEasily manage your portfolio and access data on and off the road so you can meet with more donors, build meaningful relationships, and close transformational gifts.
