How Boston University Turned Thanksgiving into a High-Touch Stewardship Moment

To commemorate Thanksgiving 2020, Boston University created a stewardship video campaign featuring students sharing what they were most grateful for with donors.

BU created 13 custom messages, each for a unique donor segment, within the platform – 11 corresponded to large gift officer (LGO) portfolios and 2 were designed for Annual Giving. The LGO ThankView campaign was sent to 1,225 recipients and had a 48% open rate, while the Annual Giving ThankViews were sent to 11,561 recipients with a 37% average open rate.

But the best result was the many comments and
replies they received!
