Regan Holt, Former Founder and CEO of Uprising, Joins EverTrue

Press Release (August 14, 2019)

“I believe we can use data — more information and greater access to that information — to change how advancement functions at a fundamental level,” said Regan Holt, former CEO of Uprising and Senior Director of Product at EverTrue.

EverTrue welcomes Regan Holt, former co-founder and CEO of Uprising, to its team as Senior Director of Product. Regan brings two decades of leadership in the advancement services and information technology sector to EverTrue.

At Uprising, Holt worked with leading organizations such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Tennessee Foundation, and the Rutgers University Foundation to rethink traditional approaches to data management for higher education and advancement. By integrating siloed systems with external engagement and profile attributes, Uprising helped fundraising staff easily find relevant information to identify potential donors and increase major gift pipeline. Prior to Uprising, Holt spent 13 years in advancement at Northwestern University and was a leader within the greater advancement services community.

At EverTrue, Holt will continue working to unite disparate streams of information into one user-friendly platform to help fundraisers work faster, automate prospect discovery and ultimately increase major gift acquisition.

By recently adding TrueView insights to its software, EverTrue has expanded its machine learning technology by syncing fundraising teams’ constituent information with donors’ digital footprints, delivering always-fresh overviews of the most important prospects. With custom integrations with Facebook, Eventbrite, Zillow, the U.S. Census, Emma, Graduway, LinkedIn, and dozens of other proprietary sources, EverTrue supplies up-to-date information that reveals prospects’ true affinities and capacity for philanthropic giving. EverTrue helps fundraisers automatically surface prospects with the greatest potential for supporting colleges, hospitals and nonprofits.

“EverTrue has been a fan of Regan’s work for a long time,” says Brent Grinna, Founder and CEO of EverTrue. “She has been instrumental in pushing higher ed forward in adopting new technology and is a leader and a visionary in the advancement sector. I’m excited to work with her and to continue helping college and nonprofit fundraisers use modern technology to work more efficiently and effectively.”

“I believe we can use data — more information and greater access to that information — to change how advancement functions at a fundamental level,” said Regan Holt. “As the world changes, fundraising needs to adapt to speak to donor interests and raise critical support. I’m proud to work alongside institutions that are transforming the world by giving more students access to education and solving some of the greatest challenges of our time.”

Holt is already working to improve search capability within the EverTrue product and add integrations to new data sources — including wealth scoring and financial information — as she helps fundraising and alumni relations teams build relationships in pursuit of a better world.
